ペットショップにやってきた女性とオーナーとの会話になっている。
括弧にした箇所は、willまたはbe going toを使うところなのだが、スキットではどちらを使ったのか、またそれはどうしてかを考えてみたい。
SO: We have goldfish in all sorts of shapes and sizes.
W: What's the life span of goldfish?
SO: They can live well over a decade.
W: No kidding! Can you pick out two hardy fish for me?
SO: These two fry look good.
W: Okay. I 1(name) one Kit and the other Caboodle.
SO: You're taking the whole kit and caboodle.
W: That's the idea! What are the pros and cons of keeping goldfish in a bowl?
SO: It's inexpensive, but your fish may not live as long.

1はwillを使ってもかまわない場合だが、スキットではbe going toを使っていた。
これは、この客が金魚を飼うのは初めてで、そうしたことから、be going toを使うことで、ショップオーナーの反応を確かめたのだと考えられる。
2は、willが使われていた。SOの意見を聞いて、考えを決めたのだから、willがふさわしい。
3もwillが使われていた。客におまけの商品をつけようという場合なので、be going toを使うと、客の反応を見てから、おまけをつけるかどうか決めるような感じとなりふさわしくない。
